Puteri Gunung Ledang, The Musical

Finally..... I watched the PGL yesterday.

It had not been an easy "path" to reach that....

Firstly, I tried to book the tickets online for so many days... but didn't manage to, because the system was always down.

Then, I tried calling them, but never able to get through.

After trying for almost A WEEK.... I finally managed to "reserve" the ticket. Apparently, the system allows you to "reserve" and not "purchase".

They contacted me after 3-days of my "reserve" submission, and told me that they received my "reservation", but the tickets I wanted is NOT AVAILABLE anymore.....

So, I had no choice but "upgraded" our budget, and got ourselves "a-tier" higher tickets from the earlier planned, but no regret, because the seating was really good. We were so near to the stage.

Then..... I was happy when we finally received the email confirmation... but guess what, it was the "wrong day" but "correct date"......

So, once again.... send them an email asking for CLARIFICATION.

They came back with another email.... giving us the CORRECT confirmation this time.

Phheeewww...... I was happy. Finally... I can proudly tell EJ that we are all set to watch it.

Then... on the DAY itself.... I forgotten to bring my credit card for the verification.
I knew about it earlier already, so I told EJ.... and we had even planned out our "drama-plan" and to "fight-all-the-way" if they refused us.

But... Lucky us..... they just asked to see my IC.... and they didn't make a fuss that I didn't bring my credit card for verification......

I am glad all went well....... me & EJ watched the 3-hours musical.... and trust me, at least for once... we are PROUD of Malaysian's Product..... ;)

We are proud to say that the PGL do have the "world-musical-standard".....

Because we are not allowed to take photos during the show.... here are just some of the pre & post Show photos......

I am so glad that I went and watch it..... Verdict : Thumbs UP!

Me & EJ, during the "half-time" break (This was the ONLY big Poster that placed around the area.....)

Tiara, the Lead Performer

At the end of the Musical when all performers were out...

My next "excitement"....... Jason Mraz's concert...... Watch out for the update soon....

Fish Balls????

"You said fish balls? You said this is fish balls??? Fish have balls????"
"Eeeewwww......"

This is unbelievable, right? But this was so "naively" came out from Saleh.

He was so surprised when I told him that fish balls are fish balls.......

I mean, I meant it genuinely...

He asked me, "What is this...?" (when we were eating noodle with fish balls....)

I was almost choked......... Just thought of sharing with you guys to cheer up the day....

Car Park Shelter Collapsed...

The car park shelter in my apartment collapsed this afternoon.
It failed to withstand the thunderstorm this afternoon.

Luckily it broke down at 5.30pm.... imagine the damages will be if it came down an hour later...

Because more cars will be parked in by then..... I was shocked when I saw there were so many people standing around the area when I came back this evening at about 6.30pm.....

Thought something "worst" had happened... because I heard someone crying....

Of course the scene shocked me..., but luckily it was not that bad as I thought it was....

Here are some of the photos I took...... Luckily it was not the shelter for my unit...... Pheeww...

Man and Wife - Tony Parsons

I just finished reading this book. When a friend saw the cover, he asked me..."What Star-Trek book are you reading....???"

Well, guess the image used are not appropriate to the content.... but who cares... the book is easy to read and good.

These are few phases / sentences from the book that I like / find it meaningful...

"When you're young, you say - I love you because I need you. When you're old its - I need you because I love you"

"If you're capable of loving someone, then there's never total freedom. There can't be. You give it up. You give up your freedom. For something that's better."

And this one is funny.....

"Women change. What you have to understand is that at differnt times in her life, a woman is like the world"
- From thirteen to eighteen, she's like Africa - virgin territory.
- From eighteen to thirty, she's like Asia - hot and exotic
- From thirty to forty-five, she's like America - fully explored but generous with her resources.
- From forty-five to fifty-five, she's like Europe - a bit exhausted, a bit knackered, but still with many places of interest.
- And from fifty-five onwards, she's like Australia - everybody knows it's down there somewhere, but very few will make an effort to find it.

Now, time for me to move on into another book......

My V-Day Celebration

Started my day for V-Day as the responsible aunty....

I attended my nephew's mini-music-concert @ Yamaha this morning...

Very brave, for a boy at his age, 4+ only... no stage fright... Am very proud of him (when he is not naughty la....)

Then, laze at home and had ice-cream delivered to me by my best friend....

This is what I got....

But this is what I want....... :(

Played pool with a group of friends.... and was very happy that I (together with JW) won DL in the game..... 3-0... How proud can we be, right? :)

Ya..... my road-tax expired today... and my insurance agent get it delivered to me today...

End of story of my memorable and interesting V-Day...... for this year.... :)

Hope everyone enjoyed it too.....

Over-commercialized St.Valentine's Day

I am not saying this just because I am Single now..... I never really believes in the V-Day even when I was in relationship......

My reasons :-

1 - Why pay so much for a meal that you can get at half the price on any other day?
2 - Why should we just been "loved" on that one particular day of the year?
3 - Don't buy me flowers..... if want to buy me anything on this day, buy me a DIAMOND... (coz the price is the same whether normal day or V-Day..) and I will appreciates it a LOT (even if its given at ANY DAY) ....

Some of my friends asked... How I feel on V-Day...?

Huh...? Hmmmmm....? Nothing lo.....

But, am waiting for a close friend whom promised to bring me Haagan Daz's Rum & Raisin on the V-Day............

Yummm.... Yummmmmm..........
Anyway, to all my friends & family..... Happy Valentine's Day! I love you guys no matter which day it is........

Life after A-WEEK-LONG Break

Or rather... it should be.... "Work-Life" after the week long CNY's break...

Its only ONE-WEEK break...... but it seemed so long. I guess its probably due to the continious public holidays that we been having since Hari Raya.....

It was like what..... Hari Raya which most people do not work for almost 2-3 weeks (pre-Raya which was Ramadhan.... tau tau saja la.....) then Christmas & New Year Celebration.... (so also almost a week gone..... coz lots of people took the whole week off..... I think at least 2 of my friends did that.... both serving a company with Many M.... )

And... finally.... Chinese New Year....... another almost 2 weeks gone too.......

Why am I complaining??? Few reasons.....

Firstly.... I didn't get to "embrace" the mood... because been busy since Raya till CNY..... :(
Was actually planning to "embrace" the CNY mood....... but sigh.... project that I expected to finish before CNY.... dragged till now still "in-progress".......

Secondly.... The "after-effect" of all these breaks..... Tonnes of works PILED up.....

I started work yesterday..... and my phone rang so much (probably I had not heard it ringing so much for the One-Week la.... except for calls from friends asking to go eating....).

Its as if, suddenly everybody and everyone are in the WORKING MODE..... no more HOLIDAY MODE......

And, though I am blogging now...... I actually have tonnes of work to finish..... but just thought of take a break and bitch a bit before continuing.......

And oh ya... one of the most common sentence I heard yesterday was....
"I am trying to clear my emails....."

My mood at this very moment.....
"I am mentally tired, but I need to work..... aaaaaaaaaaargggggggghhhhhhhhhhhh"

But I reminded myself that I had a week of lazy week already..... and had a great week.... spending time with my close ones......

And ya... not only I am Tired.... but my Laptop too.....
My laptop is DYING......................... Time to get a new one...... It freaked me out few times since yesterday..... because it refused to START UP! (its not an excuse not to do work, Okay..... ) and to add to it, I can't find my portable hard-disk to back up all the files.....
But finally I found it today...., in my laptop bag... How blur I was, isn't it.....?
Okay... enough of bitching...
Payback time..... Back to work.......

Gong Xi Fa Cai....

Its Chinese New Year...... Times flies..... matter of fact, today is actually already the 8th day of CNY and its actually a big day for Hokkien.

Oh well, I am not Hokkien, but I adapt Hokkien culture because my mum is Hokkien.

We are going to pray the "Tin Kong"... if direct translation, its "Heaven God".

I remembered when I was younger, back in hometown.... this celebration is a very big event... even bigger than the 1st day of CNY.

Normally what we did was, my parents will try to place the table as high as possible..... (easier for the God to reach out for the food, I guess.....).

And we will "present" TWO WHOLE PIG....... amongst all other food....

My parents was doing business that time.... proably that was why they needed to have 2 Pig... or else, not enough to share around.......

But since we moved to KL..., these celebration had been scaled down... especially that we are staying in apartment now.... not that "big space" available for praying...

Now had scaled down a lot... (will upload the photo later...)

But frankly, not sure why, but I had lost the "feel" of CNY..... is it because of age or...?
And..... I am going back to work tomorrow...... hmmm... feeling a bit "lazy" after laze around for sooooo longggg........
